Education at ORLC - - - Let's talk about Lent

Lent begins on Feb 17th with our Ash Wednesday service.
We'll meet the nest five Wednesdays to worship and prepare for Holy Week.
All our evening services will begin at 7:30pm, whick is a half hour later than in the past.
We're hoping to give us a little extra time between work and worship.
This year I Peter will give us our theme regarding "Life Together".
You may recognize "Life Together: as the title of Dietrich Bonhoeffer's great book.
But many people are wondering how individuals con find 'life together' when life is
so fractured, fragmented, scattered, and segregated. (I'm as curious to find out as you are!)

Some highlights for our Lenten season will be the pancake dinner on Ash Wednesday
and the soup suppers on the following Wednesdays.
We will gather to eat at 6pm before our 7:30 worship.
We'll begin our Palm Sunday worship outside (weather permitting)
and again strip the altar on Maundy Thursday and have the church gradually darkened on Good Friday.
Easter morning will greet us with great beauty and the wonderful fragrance of spring flowers.
On a date to be determinded soon, a optional time for private confession and absolution will be offered for your benefit.
Rest assured that we will give you more information in the weeks to come!
